Walmart announced a recall of 1.2 million electric water kettles because the heating element can rupture, potentially burning or shocking users.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said that Walmart received reports of 80 incidents involving the Rival brand kettles. Seven of the incidents involved people with burns.

Walmart sold the kettles on its website and at stores nationwide, for about $14, between March 2011 and October 2015. Customers should look at the bottom of the water kettle for model numbers WK8283CU or WK8283CUY. Anyone who purchased recalled items can return them to Walmart for a full refund.
