NOPD investigates a shooting in New Orleans east

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - New Orleans police are investigating a Tuesday night shooting that happened in the 6100 block of South Laverne Street.

Authorities report that last night around 7:15 p.m. two men shot a victim twice.

Officers responded to a call of an aggravated battery.

The victim said he was riding his bike when two men stopped him and pulled out a handgun.

The man was shot in his right thigh and right shoulder.

The two suspects are described as black men.

One individual was seen wearing a black and gray jacket. He is believed to be in his late teens and has short dreadlocks.

The other suspect has short dreadlocks and was seen wearing red and white polo-style shirt.
