LAFOURCHE PARISH, LA (WVUE) -

The Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested a man who had outstanding warrants Tuesday.

A deputy with the LPSO Bicycle Patrol and the Problem Oriented Policing squad were conducting patrols in Raceland when they spotted Kyron Bourda and others in the 600 block of St. Louis Street.

As deputies moved in to take Bourda into custody, a struggle ensued and they say Bourda tried to fight off the deputies. He then ran into nearby home. Bourda eventually came out and surrendered. Investigators say they found a prescription bottle with Bourda’s name near the area of the struggle. They say it contained marijuana and pills.

Bourda was booked on outstanding warrants and additionally, was booked on charges of possession of marijuana, resisting an officer with force/violence, and unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling.
