NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Two people asleep in their parked car were woken up by an armed robber near Tulane's Medical School Saturday morning.
According to the Tulane University Police Department, two people unaffiliated with the school were asleep in their parked vehicle in the 1300 block of Gravier Street, near the Tulane School of Medicine. Around 6:20 a.m., police say an armed man woke them up and demanded money.
One of the intended victims quickly started the car and drove away according to TUPD. Nothing was taken and no injuries were reported.
The two intended victims described the robber as a light-skinned black male in his early twenties wearing a brown of black hoodie and jeans. He was last seen heading toward N. Claiborne Avenue.
