New Orleans' largest crawfish cookoff featured some locals taking home top prizes. During Saturday's 5th Annual Crawfish Mambo Festival held at UNO, it was Marrero native Russell Callais who won the Crawfish Eating World Championship, finishing off 2.69 pounds of crawfish in 10 minutes. Two-time defending champion Adrian "The Rabbit" Morgan of New Orleans (2.44 lbs) and Corey "King Voodoo" Fanguy (2.26 lbs) of Grey, LA finished second and third, respectively. Nathan Biller of Keller, Texas (1.85 lbs), finished fourth.

In the Best Boil competition, which consisted of 45 teams, Dhose Bodacious Crawfish from D&B Bar and Grill took home the $1,000 top prize. Second place went to Tres Bon Cajun Meats while third place was given to Put Some in Your Mouth.

The Crowd Favorite Award was given to Geaux Creole representing the Law Offices of Andrew Schwing. Cirque du Mambo representing Waldemar S. Nelson and Company, Inc. won the award for best decorated booth.
