NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - New Orleans police are investigating a stabbing incident near Jackson Square that left two men injured. The incident occurred Sunday around 2 p.m. in the 500 block of St. Ann Street.
Police say that a man, identified as 50-year-old Everett Williams, confronted his ex-girlfriend and attacked her. As multiple men in the area reportedly tried to stop Williams, he pulled out a knife. Williams stabbed one of the men several times, according to police.
The victim was brought to a local hospital to receive treatment. Williams was also transported to the hospital for injuries he sustained in the incident. Police say once he is released, he will be booked.
The investigation into the incident continues.
