Tulane earns sweep at South Florida

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

Tulane baseball is on a roll after a 4-0 decision, Sunday, gave resulted in a sweep of South Florida. The win marked the 11th time on the season that the 16th-ranked Green Wave have shut out an opponent.

The Greenies (31-14, 11-5) scored three times in the top of the second on an RBI-single by Jake Willsey, an RBI-triple by Jarret DeHart and an RBI-single from Stephen Alemais. Green Wave starting pitcher Alex Massey held USF (21-26, 6-12) off the board over 7.0 innings while fanning eight.

Tulane returns home this week, beginning a six game home stand Tuesday night against Southern.
