NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - It wasn't pretty but LSU was able to do just enough to earn a sweep of Notre Dame on Wednesday. What was supposed to be a pair of seven-inning games ended up being anything but. Game one needed 11-innings to get a run. Jake Fraley's solo home run sealed the deal.
In game two, the Tigers finally put runs on the board in the seventh. With the bases loaded, Bryce Jordan singled up the middle to plate two runs for the Tigers. Third baseman Chris Reid scored on a wild pitch later in the inning with two away.
LSU won the second game 3-2.
The Tigers will return to SEC play this Friday with a three-game series at Tennessee.
