NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - Bullets flew on the west bank Wednesday, forcing New Orleans police to shut down a busy roadway.
The incident happened just before 7 p.m. in the 4000 block of Behrman Place, where a vehicle with two child car seats was found riddled with bullets. As many as 20 evidence were tags laid out on the street and several shell casings were in the road.
Behrman was closed from Gen. DeGaulle to the Jefferson Parish line.
Police said no one was hurt.
"The Algiers incident has been reported as criminal damage to property and we have no confirmed reports of anyone injured," an NOPD spokeswoman said in an email.
