NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

Lakeview neighbors see results just hours after bringing a problem to FOX 8.

People who live in the 5700 block of Ridgeway Place say they had been complaining about a leaky fire hydrant for weeks.

Our cameras captured images of their problem Friday morning. The leaky hydrant had the street flooded and yards soggy.

"The frustrating part is that it's taken this long and having a TV station come out to maybe get some action," said Lakeview resident Carmlee Thorpe. "That's what concerns me the most, that we can't get action from our city government quicker than we can get a report on TV."

Sewerage & Water Board crews showed up to fix the problem Friday afternoon.

If you have a water or sewer leak you want to report, contact the S&WB online or by calling 504-52-WATER (529-2837).
