Man wanted for Freret-area assault

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

New Orleans police are looking for a man wanted in connection with an aggravated assault Thursday in the Freret area.

They want to find Dashone Reynolds, 24. Police said the incident happened in the 2400 block of Valmont Street on Thursday.

Police said Reynolds was involved in a physical altercation with the victim around 6:50 p.m. at the location. During the investigation, detectives said they learned that Reynolds pulled out a handgun and fired one gunshot during the incident. Reynolds then left the scene in a vehicle described as an older model, dark gray Ford F-150 pickup truck with an unknown license plate.

Investigators said once located, Reynolds will be booked with aggravated assault with a firearm.
