NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Drier, less humid air is filtering into the area today and for the weekend. Highs remain warm today through Sunday, but less humidity will make it feel better. Highs will still be in the middle 80s each day. Low temperatures will be in the upper 50s on the north shore and mid 60s on the south shore.
Next week promises higher rain chances and a return of the warm, humid air. A few storms will be possible as early as Monday and Tuesday. However, the stormiest days look to be on Wednesday and Thursday. There could be a couple of rounds of locally heavy rain later next week.
