NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

Nicholls arrived in New Orleans Tuesday after a soggy morning and proceeded to rain on tenth-ranked Tulane's parade en route to a 2-0 victory, putting the Colonels at 2-0 against the Green Wave this season.

Tulane starter J.P. France threw nine strikeouts in 6.2 innings pitched but Nicholls broke the scoreless draw in the seventh inning thanks to an error by third baseman Hunter Hope trying to catch a stealing Gavin Wehby, who would then score on the loose ball.

The Colonels would add a second run in the frame and held off Tulane's scoring efforts to see the game out, 2-0. Nicholls will finish the regular season with a weekend series against UNO while Tulane will travel to Houston .
