NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

A Facebook page has sprouted up in protest of a fence that went up along Moss Street ahead of the Bayou Boogaloo scheduled for this weekend.

And the protest apparently worked.

In a separate Facebook media post, festival organizer Jared Zeller said the ‘cure was worse than the disease” and the fence, originally put up to keep a portion of the festival area free from trash, picnics and tailgaters that gather near the Ideal Market, was coming down.

The fence sparked outrage among neighbors, fest fans and politicians, who all rose quickly to protest and condemn the barrier.
