Man wanted for stealing motorcycle from SUNO campus

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - New Orleans police are searching for man who they say stole a motorcycle from the campus of Southern University of New Orleans.

Brandon Mitchell, 37, is wanted in connection with the case.

Police say the incident took place January 29, around 11 a.m., on campus grounds.

The owner of the bike told police that he parked the motorcycle and went to class around 10:15 a.m.

When he returned to the parking spot a little after 11 a.m., he saw a black male with a heavy build wearing a black jacket riding the motorcycle southbound on Press Drive. The victim said he still had the motorcycle key in his pocket and no one had his permission to ride it.

The motorcycle is an orange and black 2006 Honda CBR 600 RR.
