NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - NOPD officers were called to a scene Thursday involving a child struck by a BB gun pellet.
According to a police report, it happened about 3:30 p.m. May 19 in the 3600 block of Garden Oaks in Algiers. When officers arrived, they learned that a 6-year-old boy was getting off a school bus when he was struck in the chin by a BB pellet.
Officers questioned nearby juveniles playing with pellet guns at the time. They said they did not target the six year old boy.
The victim refused medical attention, and no arrests were made.
