Zephyrs score late to top Isotopes, sweep series

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - The New Orleans Zephyrs scored a run in the ninth inning, Sunday, to defeat the Isotopes 4-3, finishing off their first ever sweep in The Duke City.

With the score tied late, the Zephyrs first drew a pair of walks. Then Kenny Wilson skied a ball toward the second base where Joey Wong lost it in the bright sun. The error allowed Adrian Nieto to score, giving the Zephyrs a 4-3 lead.

The Zephyrs have won four in a row and improve to (19-23) on the season. They open an eight game series Monday against Reno.
