NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The girlfriend of a man accused of attempted murder and rape reached a deal with prosecutors and will be set free.
Nictoria Washington, 18, helped harbor Euric Cain, 22, after he allegedly shot a Tulane medical student and later raped a couple at gunpoint in the parking lot of an abandoned school.
Washington pleaded guilty to two counts of criminal mischief and sentenced to six months in Orleans Parish Prison. Criminal Court Judge Robin Pittman gave Washington credit for time served. She is expected to be released Tuesday afternoon.
Washington and Cain were arrested on Nov. 23 when police found them in a house on Delachaise St.
Investigators believe Cain is the gunman in a video that shows someone shooting Peter Gold on Nov. 20 in the Lower Garden District. Gold stopped when he saw the same gunman trying to kidnap and rob a woman. Less than 24 hours later, a couple reported Cain carjacked them in Treme and raped them.

Cain pleaded not guilty to his alleged crimes and remains in jail on $11.75 million bond.
His trial is scheduled for Aug. 15.
