NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - The New Orleans Museum of Art has launched a partnership with the Google Cultural Institute to get part of their permanent collection online.
Google Cultural Institute will make work from NOMA's Great Hall available online.
The art will be from the museum's permanent collection.
Google will use technology similar to Google's Street View to photograph the art.
NOMA's director Susan M. Taylor wants to make art accessible to people who cannot visit the museum.
A press conference to announce the partnership is scheduled today for 10 a.m.
