NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - For Memorial Day, the National World War II Museum is doing its part to honor those who fought and died for their country.
Monday's event at the museum will kick off with music to commemorate the holiday
The U.S. Marine Corps Band New Orleans brass quintet will kick the special program off with several patriotic music selections. It starts at 10:30 a.m.
After that, there will be a special ceremony that includes personal tributes from some family members of those who lost loved ones during World War II.
There will be veterans and also nonmilitary members of the community for the commemoration. It takes place in the U.S. Freedom Pavilion.
Events at the museum last until noon.
