NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Expect this summer-like pattern to continue for the next several days. Sunny starts, then a few clouds and isolated pop-up storms in the afternoons.
Each day, highs will be around the 90 degree mark with the heat index near the mid-90s at times.
By the end of the week, a low pressure system will head our way and increase rain and storm chances Friday.
Higher than average rain chances are likely to last through Saturday and Sunday. On a slightly more positive note, the clouds will keep temperatures in the mid 80s with 90s unlikely over the weekend.
