NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Two men were robbed at gunpoint Monday night in Algiers, just blocks from each other and less than an hour apart.
The latest incident happened in the 30 block of Pinewood Ct. around 9:24 p.m., according to an initial police report.
The victim was working on his vehicle when approached by an unknown armed man demanding money. The victim said he had nothing. The perpetrator left and returned a few minutes later, went into the victim's vehicle and stole his wallet, police said.
About an hour earlier, a man was putting out trash in the 2100 block of Cobblestone Ln. when someone pulled up in a white Toyota Corolla and demanded the victim's phone. The victim handed it over, according to the report.
