A flash flood watch is in effect through Saturday. Storms will increase overnight Thursday and during the day on Friday. Widespread rain totals of 2-4" are expected. Locally 6-8" of rain will be possible by Sunday.
The storminess will come in waves beginning Thursday night. It should begin to gradually improve on Sunday. Much drier air builds in for next week with the rain ending.
In the tropics there is a medium chance for development in the Gulf over the weekend. If the area of low pressure develops it's expected to stay to our east and move across Florida next week. It will actually pull in drier air from the north giving us lots of sunshine and hot temperatures next week.
