New Orleans police worked a violent Friday morning, with three people shot in just three hours.

The latest happened at 4:26 a.m. near the intersection of St. Charles Ave. and Andrew Higgins St. That is at Lee Circle.

The 30-year-old victim was in the area when approached by a man armed with a handgun. The perpetrator demanded the man's property. When the man refused, the gunman shot him, took the victim's belongings and fled. The perpetrator was possibly with one other person, police said.
