Tulane drops regional opener to Boston College 7-2

(WVUE) - Tulane ran into some hot pitching by Boston College, losing 7-2 in the opening round of the NCAA Oxford Regional. The Eagles Justin Dunn struck out 11 Wave hitters in the contest. Hunter Williams got the only runs off of Dunn with a triple, scoring two Tulane runners.

Jesuit alum Emerson Gibbs was saddled with the loss for Tulane, giving up five runs in seven innings of work.

Tulane returns to action Saturday at 1 p.m.
