Jake Rogers late-inning heroics rescued Tulane from elimination against Ole Miss. With one runner and one out, Rogers crushed a two-run home run to left field giving the Wave a 6-5 advantage.

"He threw a fastball in, and I turned on it pretty well. I knew he kind of relied on his breaking stuff. He kind of hung one, and I got enough of it to help the team win. It was fun. I kind of blacked out a little bit, but it was good," said Jake Rogers.

Lutcher native Corey Merrill finished off the Rebel bats in the bottom frame giving Tulane the victory.

Hunter Williams also hit home runs in the top of the second and fourth innings.

Tulane faces Utah at 1 p.m. tomorrow in Oxford. If the Wave lose, they're out of the regional.
