NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - New Orleans police are investigating a fatal Tuesday morning shooting in the Hollygrove neighborhood, according to initial police reports.
The victim, identified by the coroner as 57-year-old David Brue, was shot to death in the 8900 block of Colapissa Street.
Shortly before 8 a.m., police and EMS responded to a call for a gunshot victim who was discovered inside a home on Colapissa Street.
When they arrived, they found Brue unresponsive in a rear room of the home.
The man suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead on the scene.
Police say there was no sign of forced entry.
Investigators are currently interviewing witnesses and gathering evidence in the case.
