NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - A federal judge will hear more testimony today in the racketeering case of the man once called the most dangerous criminal in New Orleans.
Prosecutors opened the trial of Telly Hankton yesterday with the recording of a dramatic 911 call from a witness to the murder of Darnell Stewart.
Hankton is already serving a life sentence for the 2008 murder of Stewart.
Along with Hankton, his cousins Andre Hankton and Kevin Jackson and alleged hitman Walter Porter are also on trial.
Prosecutors Hankton was the ringleader of a criminal organization and orchestrated multiple murders.
Defense attorneys counter that their clients were simply guilty by association.
