GRAND ISLE, LA (WVUE) - The United States Coast guard and Lafourche Parish have confirmed the body of a missing swimmer has been found near Grand Isle.
Grand Isle Police Chief Euris Dubois identified the man as Diogenes Zuniga.
Dubois said Zuniga saved a the life of a nine-year-old boy before going under himself. His body was found approximately 100 yards from where he went missing.
Dubois said it is the third drowning in Grand Isle in the past two months.
Coast Guard crews on Tuesday were searching for a man who went missing off of Grand Isle.
Guardsmen said the man went into the water near Oak Lane with two children. Both of the children are fine, however, the man had not been seen since 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
A Coast Guard Air Station New Orleans MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew and a Coast Guard Station Grand Isle boat crew were involved in the search.
