NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - The New Orleans Police Department on Wednesday released details on memorial plans set to honor the life of fallen Officer Natasha Hunter. Hunter was an 11-year veteran of the NOPD who died from injuries sustained in the line of duty on June 7.
On Sunday, June 12, a public visitation will be held at the Rhodes Funeral Home at 3933 Washington Avenue in New Orleans. The visitation will take place from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
On Monday, June 13, a public viewing and memorial Mass will be held at Greater St. Stephens Full Gospel Baptist Church at 5600 Read Blvd in New Orleans. The viewing will take place from 7 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The memorial service will begin at 11 a.m.
Immediately following the memorial services, a burial will take place at Providence Memorial Park at 8200 Airline Drive in Metairie.
The memorial events are open to the public.
