SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) - Louisiana police are searching for a man who reportedly stole a cellphone at gunpoint and then snapped few selfies on the device that uploaded to the rightful owner's cloud. The Shreveport Times reported Wednesday that 27-year-old Tommy Lee Beverly Jr. is charged with armed robbery.

NEW ORLEANS (AP) - The New Orleans Sewerage & Water Board has chosen a new leader. News outlets report the board Wednesday unanimously chose Ghassan Korban to lead the troubled agency. Korban has run the Milwaukee Department of Public Works since 2011. The board chose Korban over fellow finalist, former New Orleans City Attorney Avis Marie Russell.

NEW ORLEANS (AP) - New Orleans police say a teenager had shot himself in the leg while he was running away from an officer. Police tell Times-Picayune that the 14-year-old was shot when the gun he was carrying in his waistband fired during the chase Wednesday morning. Police say officers had been called out about a group of boys carrying weapons. Police spokesman Gary Scheets says there is an investigation and it has not yet been determined if any charges will be pursued.

SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) - A pregnant woman who was shot in the stomach over the weekend lost her baby and now the alleged shooter faces upgraded charges. Police say 18-year-old Nazavion Chatman, of Shreveport, initially was charged with two counts of attempted second-degree murder. Now, he's also facing a charge of first-degree feticide for the death of the unborn child. News outlets report Chatman is being held in the city jail with bond set at $1 million. It was unknown if he's represented by an attorney.
