NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The federal racketeering trial for convicted killer Telly Hankton is entering its fifth day.
Prosecutors say Hankton ran a criminal organization that carried out multiple murders. He is already serving a life sentence for killing Darnell Stewart in 2008.
His cousins Andre Hankton and Kevin Jackson, along with accused hitman Walter Porter are also facing charges.
Prosecutors say members of the organization ran a violent drug ring. They are accused of murdering rival drug dealers, intimidating witnesses and murdering a witness's family member in an effort to obstruct justice.
