TPSO: Teen leads deputies on chase after stealing loose change from vehicles

TERREBONNE PARISH, LA (WVUE) -

Terrebonne Parish deputies said a teen led them on a chase Thursday fter stealing loose change from vehicles.

Deputies got a call that someone wearing a face mask and hooded sweatshirt was burglarizing vehicles in the 700 block of Mire St. in Houma.

They arrived to find a suspect who fit the description. When they approached, the suspect took off running. Deputies chased him and arrested him. The suspect was identified as Brennan Dupre, 17, of Houma. Deputies questioned Dupre, and he allegedly admitted to breaking into cars in the Broadmoor Subdivision and stealing money. During a search, deputies found Dupre had a stolen cell phone charger and Xanax pills without a prescription.

Dupre was arrested for vehicle burglary, attempted vehicle burglary, possession of a controlled and dangerous substance and resisting an officer. Dupre was taken to the Terrebonne Parish Jail. His bond was set at $50,000.
