USA to face Ecuador in Copa America quarterfinals

FOX 8 FOX 8
NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

Team USA now knows who their quarterfinal opponent will be Thursday night. Ecuador was named as Team USA's opponent following their 4-0 win against Haiti Sunday afternoon. But, their opponent wasn't decided until late Sunday night when Peru knocked Brazil out of the tournament by beating them 1-0 on a controversial goal in the 75th minute.

The goal appeared to come off the hand of Peru's Ruiz Ruidiaz . Peru's win saw them top the group to set up a quarterfinal meeting with Colombia, while Brazil will go home after only finishing third in the group.
