NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - The week will start off the way the weekend left off--stormy! A very tropical air mass will remain in place over the entire area. Storms will be likely on Monday and Tuesday. Heavy downpours and localized street flooding will be possible.
Rain chances decrease some on Wednesday and into Friday. Fewer clouds and storms mean hotter temperatures well into the 90's.
Storm chances may pick up again by the weekend as a cold front sags toward the Gulf Coast. This will lower temperatures again to around 90 degrees.
The tropics are quiet.
