Three teenage girls robbed by two teenage boys in Gentilly

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

New Orleans police are investigating a Sunday afternoon armed robbery in Gentilly.

According to initial reports, the incident occurred at 4:37 p.m. in the 1700 block of North Broad Street.

Three victims, female teenagers, one of undetermined age, the others 13 and 12, were approached from behind by two male teenagers. One of the boys was armed and demanded their property.

The suspects fled with a purse containing three cell phones. One of the suspects fled on foot and the other on a bicycle.

Shortly after the call on the incident went out, a 14-year-old teen was arrested.
