NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

Starting today, drivers need to brace for delays on U.S. 90 and the Crescent City Connection.

Drivers can expect alternating lane and ramp closures on the bridge, between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. while crews tear down the old 12-lane toll plaza.

Commuters face months of adjustments because demolition could last through October.

Once that's done, the Terry Parkway on-ramp will be permanently reduced to one lane.
