Houma police arrest three for drug sales, possession

HOUMA, LA (WVUE) - Three Houma residents have been arrested and charged in connection with the possession and sale of heroin and cocaine.

Houma police arrested Ivory Smith, 21, of Firwood Drive and Nathaniel Johnson, 21, of East Street.

Early on June 10, Houma police executed a search warrant on East Street where they arrested Johnson. During the search of the apartment, police found 26 packages of heroin, a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Johnson was charged with possession of heroin with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana, cocaine trafficking and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Also arrested with Johnson was Ashley R. Dupre, 27, of East Street.

Smith, who was not at the East Street apartment was found on Firwood and arrested and charged with three counts of cocaine distribution.

All three were taken to the jail where they were booked. Are still behind bars awaiting a bond or court.
