Suspected scooter thieves stopped by vigilant neighbor

Police are searching for two suspects caught on camera attempting to steal a scooter in the Treme neighborhood.

According to NOPD, the two unknown male suspects seen in the photo above attempted to steal a scooter, but a neighbor confronted them before they could get away.

The two would-be thieves pulled into the 1300 block of Henriette Delille street on June 12 on a teal cruiser-style bicycle with whitewall tires according to NOPD. They dismounted in front of a home and attempted to steal the scooter parked there.

According to NOPD, a neighbor confronted the two would-be thieves as they pushed the scooter away, causing them to drop the scooter and run.

Police describe one suspect as a young, black male with a brown complexion. He was wearing a blue button-down shirt, black pants and black shoes.

The second suspect is a young black male with a dark complexion wearing a red cap, black shirt and blue jeans according to NOPD.
