NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

A sewer line problem forced the New Orleans Juvenile Justice Center to close to the public.

Sewerage and Water Board crews need to repair a clogged sewer line impacting the facility, which is located at 1100 Milton Street in the St. Bernard neighborhood.

The center serves as home for the city's juvenile court and has spaces available to handle juvenile-legal matters.

The center is also home to the 'youth study center," the facility that holds juveniles in detention while they await trial.

The city says the work will not require the transfer any juveniles while the sewer work is done.
