NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - New Orleans police have arrested four individuals for robbing a man in the French Quarter. The incident occurred Tuesday, just after 10:00 p.m. in the 1200 block of Burgundy Street.
According to police, the victim said that he was riding his bike within the block when four black men jumped from behind a black vehicle and tackled him. The victim told police that once he was on the ground, one of the men kicked him in the face and nose. He said that the second suspect then reached into the his back pocket and removed his wallet. The four men then ran eastbound on Burgundy towards Esplanade Avenue.
Shortly after the incident took place, responding officers found the four men in the area. After a brief chase, all four were taken into custody. The victim identified all four as the suspects.
The four suspects have been identified as 18-year-old Jeremiah Preston, 22-year-old Kentrell Jackson, 20-year-old Louis Temple and 19-year-old Isaiah Mitchell.
