SLU's Fisher receives another honor

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

Southeastern Louisiana first baseman Jameson Fisher picked up yet another postseason honor Wednesday, being named to the 2016 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Div. I All-Region team.

The red-shirt junior from Zachary, Louisiana,was named to the South Central Region first team after helping Southeastern to a 40-21 record in 2016, its second-consecutive 40-win season, and the program's first at-large bid to the NCAA postseason.

Fisher leads the nation in on-base percentage (.558). He also ranks second in batting average (.424), third in OPS (1.250), seventh in sacrifice flies (8), 11th in walks (54), 12th in slugging percentage (.716), and 14th in RBIs (66).

His batting average, on-base percentage and walk totals are all school single-season records.
