NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Investigators say the man accused of killing a New Orleans Police officer in a car crash was drunk at the time of the crash.
Investigators say Chau Thai Nguyen's blood alcohol level was twice the legal limit when he struck and killed Natasha Hunter while she worked an accident on I-10 near Elysian Fields Avenue.
Hunter died two days after the crash.
Police are also seeking a search warrant to get surveillance video from Harrah's Casino.
Police say Nguyen admitted drinking there before the crash.
A funeral for officer hunter was held Monday.
