METAIRIE, LA (WVUE) -

Jared Hoying had a pair of hits and drove in a run as the Round Rock Express defeated the New Orleans Zephyrs 3-2 in the final game of the four game series.

The teams split the series.

Austin Nola singled and scored on a Destin Hood double to give the Zephyrs a 1-0 lead in the fourth inning. The Express answered with a pair of runs in the sixth inning and added a run in the seventh.

Robert Andino drilled a solo home run in the eighth.

The Zephyrs threatened with runners left on base in the eighth and ninth but the rally fell short.

The Zephyrs fall to 32-33 on the season and will open a four game home stand with Oklahoma City tomorrow.
