NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - New Orleans police are investigating three armed robberies, according to initial reports.
The first incident occurred at 12:35 a.m. near the intersection of Thayer and General DeGaulle. The victims, a 29-year-old woman and a 22-year-old man, where walking from their car to a club when they were robbed.
The victims told police at the club they were robbed by two suspects, described as black men in a burgundy vehicle.
Gretna police witnessed the subjects robbing a couple near the levee in Gretna. The subjects then drove in front of the club and Gretna Police were able to stop the vehicle and apprehend the subjects.
Arrested where Broderick Fleming, 33 and Pershing Brown, 38.
The second incident occurred at 1:14 p.m. near the intersection of St. Phillip and Bourbon Streets.
The victim, a 31-year-old man, was approached by a suspect, described as an armed black man, who produced a weapon and demanded his property.
A wallet and cell phone were taken.
The third incident occurred at 3:24 p.m. near the intersection of St. Claude Avenue and Touro Street.
The victim, a 37-year-old man, was walking with three subjects he had just met.
One of the subjects produced a gun and demanded money.
The victim complied and the subjects fled.
