NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Our extra hot temperature trend will break on Saturday as a cold front moves in the area. It's likely to be fairly hot tomorrow and storms could develop at just about any time. A few of the storms could be strong.
On Sunday, it will be noticeably cooler with lots of clouds and temperatures in the 80s. Moisture will linger behind the front so there will be a good chance of mostly showers around and maybe a storm near the coast.
Drier weather develops next week with very little rain. Highs will return to the lower 90s each day. By Thursday there may be a better chance for a few late day storms.
A weak tropical wave will move across the Bay of Campeche this weekend and into Mexico. It's not going to effect the Gulf Coast. Otherwise the tropics are quiet.
