Scattered storms dotted the area through the morning and afternoon with yesterday's front washing out just south of us and allowing plenty of moisture to hang around across the area. With daytime heating, showers will linger into the early evening, but there will be plenty of breaks to enjoy the outdoors with Dad.
Temperatures are once again warm, but not oppressive with highs below average in the mid to upper 80s. We can expect to get hotter and drier to start the week with much less rain coverage for Monday and temperatures creeping back up into the low 90s.
Hurricane hunters are investigating a broad area of low pressure in the southwestern Gulf of Mexico. The system will quickly move inland over Mexico and will not be an issue for our part of the Gulf coast.
