NOPD investigating two Sunday armed robberies

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - New Orleans police are investigating two Sunday armed robberies, according to initial reports.

The first incident occurred at 2:13 a.m. in the 5100 block St. Anthony Street.

The victim, a 54-year-old man, was sitting inside his vehicle when he was approached by a suspect, described as a black male wearing a gray hoodie and black glasses.

The suspect pointed a black semi-automatic weapon at the victim. The victim then attempted to drive off, hitting another vehicle.

The second incident occurred around 4 p.m. near the intersection of South Genois and Banks Streets.

The victim, a 23-year-old female, said an unknown suspect broke into her car and took money.
