NOPD remains on the hunt for Fontainebleau Drive robbery, shooting

New Orleans police are still searching for a suspect they believe was involved with an early May armed robbery and shooting on Fontainebleau Drive.

Police are looking for Geno Oliver, 29, in connection with the incident that took place on May 10, 2016.

On that night, at approximately 10:30 p.m., the victim was walking on Fontainebleau Drive when Oliver is accused of approaching her from behind and demanding her property.

Police say Oliver and the victim then struggled and he then fired a shot at the victim. She suffered a graze wound on the back of her neck.

He then grabbed the victim’s property and fled the scene.

During the subsequent investigation, detectives gathered evidence that identified Oliver as the perpetrator.

When apprehended, Oliver will be booked on charges of armed robbery with the use of a firearm and attempted first-degree murder.
