SLIDELL, LA (WVUE) - It didn't take long for deputies to catch them in the act.
"This time they were caught red, or rather orange (the color of their sticky notes of choice), handed," the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office posted on its Facebook page.
Officers caught the three "suspects" - Caitlin Phillips and her two sons - putting sticky notes on some of the patrol cars parked at the administrative building in Slidell on Tuesday.
The notes were meant to be kind gestures for law enforcement that works in the community.
"It's the least we can do for them," Phillips said. She added that her boys love the deputies and wanted to tell them thank you.
Another "sticky note bandit" recently covered Slidell Police Department cruisers in notes with similar messages.
The STPSO pondered: "What law enforcement agency will be the next recipient of this gesture of thanks."
